Healthy From The Start is a one stop shop that connects pregnant women with services in the community to help her have a healthy pregnancy.  Register as early in your pregnancy as possible so that you can:

  • have questions answered and get important information
  • feel supported
  • get connected to services, such as support from a public health nurse

The ABC’s Resource Booklet covers a range of topics, from Anxiety to Zzz’s, to support parents and caregivers.

Free baby boxes are available through the Women’s Contact Society if you are currently expecting or have a child under three months of age.

A safe space for parents to come together and share or learn about others’ parenting journey.

A community program providing a range of services, that can help you have a healthy baby and raise a healthy family including prenatal classes, breastfeeding support and more.

Focuses primarily on coping with pain in labour, routines and procedures used during labour/deliver and preparing or the first two days after birth.

Learn breastfeeding basics and techniques from trained Public Health Nurses.

The BC Early Hearing Program (BCEHP) is the province-wide screening program to check hearing for babies born in British Columbia.
The program provides integrated services from hearing screening to hearing testing as well as family supports following identification of hearing loss.
