Program Description

A culturally safe crisis line for all First Nations people within BC.  Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Who can use this program?

BC First Nations people in a crisis situation, regardless of their location in the province.

How do I use this program? Do I need a referral?

If you require crisis support call 1-800-588-8717 at time of day for assistance.

What services are offered?

Crisis response staff are certified and trained in Indigenous cultural safety, and therefore have an understanding of First Nations history and trauma.  They have experience helping individuals experiencing mental health issues and crises related to residential school, child welfare, addiction, health concerns, divorce/ separation, suicidal ideation/ survivorship, grief and loss, crime, abuse, peer pressure and financial distress.

The KUUS-US Crisis Services has partnered with the First Nations Health Authority and therefore has an extensive network that allows them to connect individuals to services for after-crisis care and follow-up.
